In response to our Freedom of Information Act request, we have now received the Military Working Dog disposition reports for the years 2001-2011

We received these reports through the cooperation of the military and our friends in Congress.

Here are the numbers of dogs transferred/adopted and euthanized for all eleven years. Click on the year to open the full report.

Unfortunate with the new bill that passed deeming Military Working Dogs no longer equipment, it also contained new regulations making the number of K-9's adopted and euthanized along with the reasons classified. That's right, under the new law we have no idea how many K-9's are being properly taken care of.
